{she reads truth}

Have you heard about She Reads Truth yet?

If you haven’t heard about it you need to run…not walk…to your closest device and check it out. If you want to learn more about the things of God and grow deeper in his word with a community of other women this is the place for you.

It’s a beautiful, articulate, life-giving app & website with devotions from God’s word. The app is beautiful; it has the entire bible for reference & devotions and gorgeous screen savers. The website has the same and more as you can study along with their ever-changing studies {topics vary from a specific book of the bible such as Titus to general study topics such as Hospitality}.  You can follow along with the current study, look up past studies or order one of their printed study journals if you prefer to write it out. The She Reads Truth team has brilliantly decided to have different artists create these packs and truly wants it to be a place where a community of women can learn more about the things of God. The artwork can be purchased & boy is it fun to check it all out.

Go check it out HERE!

PIE love

pie love

My husband loves pie. As I have mentioned…I don’t bake. So this can be a little tricky.

However, the approaching holiday season has me in the mood for pie so I may attempt to make one or two this year.

THIS pie crust looks great {although I will probably buy mine pre-made}.

THIS Pumpkin Pie looks amazing!

Pumpkin is always a favorite with us but I love Pecan Pie too.

And THIS pie sounds fun too.

Who doesn’t love a little jelly tart pie like THESE on a cold/rainy day?

THIS “pie” from The Pioneer Woman is one of the only pies I have ever made & it’s divine!

And for more inspiration Friday is Pie Day over HERE. Yum!

{ten on eleven}

Try as I may and try as I might to remember to do my favorite monthly project {ten on ten}…sometimes I forget. Actually I didn’t know what day it was yesterday {while on a quick 4 day weekend getaway} and so the tenth came and went. But in the spirit of the project I went ahead and took my ten pictures today instead…on the eleventh. Today we were traveling back home from a quick weekend  in Southern California to see our BFF’s {and my Aunt & Uncle}. It was the perfect mix of good catch-up time, belly laughter time, delicious food around big tables, dirty fingernails, no sleep, baby obsessing and little hearts playing sweetly as adopted “cousins” and friends. My heart is full.

{31 days recap & happy halloween}

Okay friends! So I am finally finishing up my 31 day project. Just a few days late! Life with a newborn and Halloween and homework and a house that never stops needing care has gotten the better of me. But I’m pressing-on because I have loved your feedback about motherhood. It seems that I’m not the only mommy out there who adores my kids and struggles with the tricky parts of motherhood all at once! If you haven’t had a chance to read along you can find all the posts I managed to write {i skipped a few days} HERE. Thanks  to the nester for this fun challenge and thanks to all of you for listening to my musings and my heart!

Cannot wait until next year…wonder what I will write about then!?!

Also, how was your Halloween?

We had a crazy day of rain, a sleepy baby who wouldn’t nap, fun costumes, parades, parties, trick-or-treat in our neighborhood.

It was fun and tiring.

This was our take on FROZEN!

Here they are at the school parade. Grant was a ninja by day and Olaf by night! Paigey loved being  Elsa! 8 out of ten girls did too! It was adorable!
