super hero party {super cousies turn 4}

My cousin Kim and I had our sweet boys just one day apart four years ago. They were due two weeks apart but Asher came late and Grant came early! So we have dreamed of having a combo birthday party for these little buddies since then. That day finally arrived a few weeks ago! Check out the festivities. It was great. Throwing a party with another creative person is fun and makes for a much easier party to plan, put together, pay for and even clean up! And I’m thankful that my Aunt Ev and Uncle Ray have such a beautiful home that they allowed us to use! Hope it inspires you to throw your own!

We actually played two other fun games that I will tell you all about another time {they were awesome}

We encouraged people to dress up as their favorite Super Hero and they did! Almost everyone! It was pretty fun to see all those alter-ego’s running around!

don’t forget the scones {this EASTER}

 As I mentioned the other day…we had a lovely Easter Tea for the kids last weekend. My fabulous sis-n-law makes the most amazing food. She can cook, bake and comes up with great party menus. She made everything you see here from scratch! Amazing! My mother-in-law has lovely taste, lots of vintage dishes and found these adorable Peter Rabbit plates for the kids. Paige helped her decorate this little table {her Lalaloopsy doll even got to join us} and I got to help in the kitchen {something I always love to do when Auntie Shannon is cooking}! Check out the menu and some links below. It was tasty and fun! The perfect combo for any tea party!
Our sweet little friend Hali joined us! So fun!

*To get the recipes for Cowboy and Cowgirl Quiche check out The Pioneer Woman’s latest cookbook HERE or go online to a recipe very similar HERE {just leave out the artichoke hearts and trade the cheese with cheddar to make the Cowboy version in her cookbook}.
*Auntie Shannon is a huge fan of America’s Test Kitchen and often makes their recipes. I couldn’t believe how effortlessly she made everything that day! The Blog Days of Summer {SANTA CRUZ BABY}

So then we hit the road again to continue the “Month of Traveling Panfi’s” with a short trip to Santa Cruz to spend the weekend with Nana, Auntie Shannon, Uncle Kevin and our sweet nephews Kai and Eli! Our first full day together we checked out Roaring Camp one day for the Day out with Thomas the Train event (an amazing event hosted all over the country that you must check out if you ever get the opportunity). To learn more click on the link above. Thomas was actually at the front of the train and gave us a ride.  There were bounce houses, train tables to play with and a “temporary” tattoo station. It was really well done.

And then the next day we were off to the Boardwalk and the beach! It was fun to be all together and the kids LOVED everything from the rides and games to the waves and sand! Don’t you just love these cute little red-head boys?!

Eli and Grant were not as into the water but they were troopers and had some fun in the sand. Paige is quite the water baby these days so she was in heaven. Kai could not get enough of the waves and water {despite being so cold he was shivering}.  It was so cute to see them jump & splash and laugh & play together. I wish we all lived closer so we could be together more often.
